The player matters as much as the service
A Fire TV player controls the guide, channel switching, favorites, decoder behavior and how easy the interface feels from the sofa. If two players use the same account but one feels slow, the difference can be the app.
Fire OS and Vega OS are now different paths
Amazon has introduced Vega OS on newer Fire TV Stick models. Advice written for Android-based Fire OS does not automatically apply to a Vega device. Identify the model and operating system before following APK sideload instructions.

Prioritize D-pad navigation, Xtream Codes or M3U support, EPG performance, decoder options, favorites, search and update history.
TV-grid vs section-based interfaces
Some players emphasize a traditional EPG grid; others separate live TV, movies and series into large sections. Choose based on how you watch.
Troubleshooting rule
If a stream works in one player but not another, compare decoder/player settings before changing account credentials.
